Dad taught me many years ago how he carves a turkey and be damned if I don't do it differently every time (really, this isn't rocket science - get it on table already!) But surely one of the rituals of the season. The lesson that year I think was the first bird in our home. He took on my old role as 'poacher' trying to sneak a piece in advance. Good times.

Lightroom 5 and Kelby's book for the same - a high contrast treatment of a random photo I pulled up to kick things off. Hmmm. I think I can do better.
