Corona Arch (Potash Road, Moab)

A stop in Moab to get some info on camping we decided to find a spot along the Potash Road, so named because it accesses some of the areas potash mines. Williams Bottom will be our home for the duration of the stay – a BLM campsite wedged between the road and a cliff but treed in and we were able to tarp up sufficiently.

Drizzle drizzle… I’m seldom a fan of hiking in the rain… this is not why I came to the desert in October! Corona Arch is a fairly short hike and gives us some more slick-rock fun. It’s one of the bigger arches with an opening 140’ x 105’ and you can walk right underneath. Adjacent Bow Tie arch is a bonus but the hike is short so pretty much a must do seeing as we are so close.
