La Sal Mountain Loop Road (Moab up into Manti-La Sal National Forest)
This was on my list to tie in with Fisher Towers but with the lower ceiling and drizzle we figure let’s give it a go. The misty fog lent an interesting ambiance but we had no idea what the longer view might be. Castle Rock looming out of the fog was very cool. The whole loop is 62 miles, the 36 mile section between hwy 191 & hwy 128 is the most scenic portion.
Stopped at the end of the day in Moab for some supplies, the shots of the display of energy bars at City Market was inspired by my guidebook. Pretty impressive! (and colorful!)
