Goblins (San Rafael Swell, Goblin State Park)
Photos of the Goblins put this high on my list and I even had a thought that it would be an interesting place to be during a full moon. Unfortunately it was rapidly clouding up so the full moon thing was a bust but the area still did not disappoint. This would be a great place to bring kids, lots of places to run and climb and they can imagine what all the weird shapes are. Many do look like goblins or other fantasy creatures, others like mushrooms or some form of modern art. I stayed until nearly dark hoping the sky would clear. No luck. But this is definitely a place I would return to.
