2013-01-27 | Lake Louise Ice Magic / Snowshoe | 1785m | 7.2 km | 140m rolling gain.

Arriving a little late (close to noon) we couldn’t park at the upper lots so Plan B formed when we pulled into the parking lot for the Divide Trail, where there is a staging area for sled dog tours. From here we snowshoed around the north side of the Chateau complex to the lake. We took in the sculptures and skating area (both really busy) & went up the lake a ways for our picnic. Apparently the sleigh horses don’t like my stove (oops). A great day out with Shannon.
