Boys were free for a hike, left it up to me for a destination – how about a bike & hike? Exceptionally dry warm weather for the season opened the opportunity to use the closed 546 to ride to the base of Windy Point and then continue along Gleason Ridge. We technically didn’t go to the furthest high point on Gleasons, but the view wouldn’t change so we left the ridge and into the valley below to return at the draw before the final ‘bump’. Good chance to catch up for us all and a fun little variation by using the bikes as well. Tailgate beer after turned out to be the last for a while as the afternoon press confernce announced more restrictive Covid measures effectively screwing up our Christmas plans by banning outdoor gatherings as well. Glad we got this one in when we could.
