2011-11-01 | GR407468 & Belmore Browne Peak | 2382m | 9.9km | 818m gain

Yup, a Tuesday! Well the forecast was favourable, unlike later in the week. Peter had to work at 5pm and I had a good excuse to tie in a site visit and shooting some grades near Priddis... a plan was formed.

This is accessed off Powderface Trail and there isn't a large number of trails off this road but this one was great. Straight up a draw to a bump in the ridge for an outstanding view across to such giants as Mt Lougheed, Mt Sparrowhawk, and Mt Bogart although the wind and wooden fingers put ideas of peak spotting out of my mind. A short ridgewalk to Belmore Browne Peak and then back down into the draw for lunch in a calm sunny spot.

On the drive in there was a road killed deer in the ditch and driving by I spooked up numerous ravens and an immature bald eagle off the carcass. On the drive back the eagle was in a tree overlooking his prize. Otherwise not a lot of wildlife, fresh bear tracks in the snow.
