Not a very early start, wanted something close and not too taxing but some elevation ... I've done this little peak several times but this was a first for Shannon. Wanting to introduce her to a few that she can go with a friend or solo again later. Many ways up, this was from the horse camp more or less, and provides a rolling approach to the final little grunt to the top. A few others on the trail but not bad. A grouse drumming, new aspens, wildflowers, sunny spot for lunch. Good outing relatively close to home.
