Day off instead of Family Day as the weather warmed, somewhat. -21 at the start but once the sun came out it was better. Started at Paint Pots and crossed over the Vermillion river and snowshoed along it to Marble Canyon. Except for the parking lot this was the only place we saw people, and only a handful at that. Nice to be out midweek. After lunch by an open area of the river we snowshoed back and explored up into the Ochre Springs area of the Paint pots. Super day to be out and about.
