Super-Saturday with Peter and Al up a fairly popular mountain in the front ranges to avoid the snow.

Shot with my G11 partly because I didn't get around to cleaning the sensor on my Rebel and I was fully expecting some belly deep snow grovelling... I guess I chose the right mountain!

I'll ad the spec later... around 1000m of gain +- , this is an easily recognized peak just north of the intersection of Hwy 40 & Hwy 1.

A fun little scramble that basically loops in behind the peak, scramble to the summit with the one little crux being a ledge with a hand cable to assist. Descent is excellent with two scree runs that drop elevation pretty fast. Stroll thru the aspens at beginning and end wasn't too shabby either.
