2013-06-20 High River flood (Floodmagedon)

In brief, a couple shots from when I first arrived home - then I was gone for a bit to try and track down some people- came back and grabbed a guy with a boat to go and get Eric and the pets. Grabbed a few essentials and then the whole town has been in the hands of RCMP / military until staged re-entry. By 2013-07-03 it will have been a day short of two weeks since we left (that is our scheduled re-entry date).

At Mark's house, three blocks east of mine. What to do? Cell phone calls and texts not going thru.

Found Shannon, the Jetta (Eric's car) but no Eric. Off by boat to the house.

A few quick shots before grabbing some stuff. The deck is floating but the tree will hold 'er in place.

Garage door... garage full of tools and lumber...

Doghouse and some timbers floating. Back gate is gone - floated off its hinges.

Oh good, my trash can is still there. The yellow handle is a shovel in the pile of compost which is now in Medicine Hat.
