Super Saturday with Peter. Drove (ok, I napped) thru some steady rain but day's worst on the trail was drizzle and wind. Saw two black bears, a bighorn ram, several deer, and a bald eagle from Canmore to the trail-head. Marmots and such on the hike, Moose on the drive out. Cool little valley retaining a surprising amount of snow. Lucky for us it held our weight for the most part and made some of the travel easier. Considering the weather going on in most other corners we considered the trip a success even though we never saw the sun. Spotted some Calypso orchids on the hike out.
