A rainy drizzly day, so I left the Canon in the truck. My ‘backyard’ with the same trailhead as High Noon hills, my expectations were a little low with the weather etc. Shannon got me going as I uncharacteristically set my alarm for pm instead of am and only clued in that it was 15 minutes to go time when I studied the kitchen clock and slowly said – quarter to eight??? Shannon had my coffee already in a go mug and with most everything else ready the night before I just needed to tie my boots. Lol. Oops.

Despite the drizzle it was a good day out and the rain stopped at our lunch break. The swirling cloud added to the day and the ambiance. I quite enjoyed the ‘long meadow’ and on the way back we got quite close to a young bull moose who was more interested in a mineral lick than us. Glad to get out on a day where I just *might* have stayed in bed!
