2024.01.25 | Green Monster (Evan Thompson Creel) | rolling 4.0 hrs | w/ Konrad & Gabe

A good outing for a chilly day with not much snow recently. -15 at the start the hike is pretty rolling so "moisture management" not too epic. Once in the Evan Thompson creek-bed the views were interesting with some burbling creek ice and side waterfalls breaking up the run. The chain / rope supported areas were pretty manageable (no fooling around if you slip mind you) I was happy to loop (corndog?) the route to avoid some of the crowds. The parking was full when we exited around noon, those chains would have been the bottleneck for sure. Somehow this one is on the radar - or the lack of fresh snow had others take the same mindset as us.

It was a testament to early starts to get the chance to go behind the frozen 'Green Monster" before the ice climbers and crowds made that untenable. Good day discussing travel and good times... damn straight. Life is too short to spend the weekend unwrapping work shenagigans!

(grrrrr. Zenfolio is pissing me off. Can't rotate video - their video in general sucks - and the archive thing.... grrrrr)
